# A personal brand for creators

> You already have an audience on someone else’s app. A personal brand is what turns it into something you own: one home on your own domain, a business email brands take seriously, and a way to keep people when an algorithm changes.

**Short answer:** Creators need three things beyond their social accounts: a website on their own domain that holds every platform and their best work, a business email address at that domain for brand deals, and a media kit. Bounley, the platform built for personal brands, sets up the website (free at bounley.me/yourname while in beta) and, with Premium, the domain and business email, with your videos and music playing right on the site.

## Why creators need more than their accounts

- **Reach is rented.** One change to an algorithm, a ban in your country or a hacked account, and your audience is gone with it. A site and an email list on your own domain are the parts you keep.

- **Brands look you up.** Before a sponsorship, a brand manager checks your site, your other platforms and how you answer email. A business address at your own domain makes the first reply easy.

- **One link has to do everything.** TikTok and Instagram give you one link in your bio. It needs to lead to every platform, your newest video, your merch and a way to work with you.

## What a creator’s site needs

- Your face, your name and one line about what you make and for whom.

- Your newest video, Short, stream or track, playing on the page.

- Every platform you’re on, in the order you want people to follow you.

- A “Work with me” section: your business email, a contact form and your media kit.

- Merch, Patreon, tips or whatever supports you.

- A way to stay in touch you own: an email list or a Discord.

## A business email brands answer

Put a business address in your YouTube “About”, your Instagram contact options and on your site, so brands don’t have to DM you. Use your own domain: **collabs@yourname.com** or **hello@yourname.com** reads as a business; a free address with numbers in it reads as a side project. ## Your media kit

One page, kept current: who you are, your audience (size, ages, countries, platforms), average views and engagement, past partnerships with results, the kinds of content you offer, and how to reach you. Link it from your site’s “Work with me” section and attach it to pitches.

## Growing as a creator

- Be known for one clear thing first, then widen.

- Go deep on one platform, then cut the same idea for the others.

- When a video says “link in bio”, put that thing at the top of your site before you post.

- Check which links people tap and which platforms they follow you on, and adjust.

## How Bounley fits

Bounley is the platform built for personal brands. Type one username and it finds your other accounts and builds your site; your newest YouTube video or stream can update itself; a Live badge shows when you’re streaming on Twitch; and the same site becomes a business card, a QR code and an email signature. Free at bounley.me/yourname while in beta. With Premium the site runs on your own domain with a business email at it, the inbox right in Bounley.

## Questions

### Do creators need a business email?

Once brands start getting in touch, yes. A separate address keeps deals out of your personal inbox, and an address at your own domain makes you look established before the brand reads a word.

### Do creators need a website if they have a link-in-bio page?

A link page is a start, but it lives on someone else’s domain and doesn’t give you an email address. A site on your own domain, with a business email to match, is what makes a creator look like a business.
