Terms of Service
Effective October 8, 2026
The short version. You own what you put on your page. Keep it legal and don’t use it to hurt, trick or impersonate anyone. Your page is public. You can delete everything whenever you want. The full terms below are what actually applies.
These Terms are an agreement between you and Bounley (“Bounley”, “we”, “us”). They cover bounley.com, the pages people make on it, and everything else we offer (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.
Bounley was called HandleClub until October 27, 2026, at handleclub.com and handle.club. Only the name and the addresses changed: the Service, the people who run it and these Terms are the same, and an agreement you made with HandleClub carries on with Bounley.
Please read section 18. It says that most disputes between us are settled by individual arbitration rather than in court, and that neither of us can bring a class action. You can opt out of it within 30 days.
1. Who can use Bounley
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Bounley with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, and they agree to these Terms for you.
- You can’t use Bounley if we have previously banned you, or if the law forbids you from using it.
- If you use Bounley for a business or organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Your account
Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has got into it, tell us at security@bounley.com straight away.
3. Your page name
When you claim a name (like bounley.com/yourname) you get to use it for as long as your account is in good standing. You don’t own the name, and you can’t sell, rent or transfer it. We may take back or change a name if it impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, is misleading, is one we reserve for Bounley, or was claimed to hold or resell rather than use. When an account is deleted, its name becomes available to other people.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put on Bounley — your text, photos, links and anything else (“your content”).
So that we can run the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, adapt (for example, resize a photo, or turn your page into a link-preview image or a business card) and distribute your content, only to operate and improve the Service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups for a limited time and anything other people have already shared. We won’t use your page in our marketing without asking you first.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you post and that it doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights.
Forms you make. If you make a form (a contact form, sign-up list, RSVP or similar), you decide what it asks and what happens to the answers, and you’re responsible for that: ask only for what you need, use the answers only for what the form says they’re for, keep them safe, and delete them when you no longer need them. Don’t ask for passwords, login or verification codes, payment card or bank details, government ID numbers, or health information, and don’t use a form to trick people or to send them messages they didn’t ask for. Each form says who the answers go to and what you’ll use them for; use them only for that. A sign-up list is consent to emails: only email the people on it about what the form said, and give them a way to unsubscribe in every email. We show a short notice and an age and consent box on every form, refuse forms that ask for passwords or card details, and may remove any form that breaks these Terms.
How we handle your forms’ answers. For the answers people send to your forms, you are the one who decides why and how they are used (under data protection law, the “controller”), and we handle them only on your behalf (the “processor”). So, as required by Article 28 of the GDPR and the UK GDPR, we: use the answers only to store them, show them to you and delete them as you tell us through the Service, and for nothing of our own; make sure everyone who can reach them is bound to keep them confidential; protect them with the security described in our Privacy Policy; use only the service providers named in our Privacy Policy to store and deliver them, and tell you there before we add another; help you answer requests from the people who sent them, and tell you without undue delay if we learn of a breach affecting them; delete them when you delete them, the form or your account; and give you the information you need to show this is being done. Bounley’s servers and those providers are in the United States; where the law requires, transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Your page is public. Anyone can see it, including anything you add to your business card, such as an email address, phone number or location. Search engines may list it unless you turn on “Hide from search engines”, which asks them not to but cannot force them.
Discover. Discover is Bounley’s directory of pages, where people can find creators to follow. When you agree to these Terms, your page’s name, photo, bio and link are listed there, unless you told us you’re under 18: then it’s listed only if you turn Discover on yourself. You can leave Discover at any time under More → Discover in your dashboard, and once you leave, agreeing to a later version of these Terms won’t list you again. Pages that are hidden from search engines or have a content warning are never listed. Leaving Discover removes your page from the directory; it doesn’t make your page private.
5. Community rules
Don’t put these on Bounley, link to them, or use Bounley to do them:
- Anything illegal, or links to illegal goods or services.
- Sexual content involving minors of any kind, real, drawn or AI-generated. We remove it and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
- Intimate images of anyone shared without their consent, including images that were AI-generated or altered to look like a real person.
- Harassment, threats, bullying, or publishing someone’s private information (doxxing).
- Hate speech that attacks people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or similar characteristics; and anything that promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
- Pretending to be another person, brand or organisation in a misleading way, or pretending to be Bounley.
- Scams, phishing, malware, deceptive redirects, fake giveaways and pyramid schemes.
- Material that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Selling or promoting weapons, drugs or other regulated goods where that is against the law.
- Spam, fake engagement, or deliberately inflating page views or link clicks.
- Breaking or abusing the Service: hacking, probing for weaknesses, scraping at scale, getting around limits, overloading our systems, using other people’s accounts, or using automated tools to create accounts or claim names.
Adult content
You may link to adult content only if all of these are true: you have turned on the 18+ only content warning, the content is legal where you are, everyone shown in it is an adult who agreed to it, and nothing sexually explicit appears on your Bounley page itself — including your photo, header image and text.
6. Sponsorships and affiliate links
If you are paid, or receive free products, for anything you link to, it is up to you to disclose that as the law requires — in the United States, under the FTC’s Endorsement Guides. Bounley doesn’t check.
7. Other services and embeds
Links and embedded content — a Twitch stream, a YouTube video, a Spotify playlist and so on — are run by those companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for them. An embed can stop working if the company behind it changes something, and we may stop supporting any embed at any time.
Link cards. You can show a link to a website as a large card. The card uses the title, preview picture and icon that the website publishes for sharing links, and you can replace any of them with your own. Choose cards for sites you’re allowed to promote, keep any sponsorship or affiliate label on (see section 6), and don’t make a card look like it comes from someone it doesn’t. If the owner of a website asks us to remove its picture or name from a card, we will, and we may remove any card that breaks these Terms.
8. Reports, removal and enforcement
Anyone can report a page at bounley.com/report. We may remove content, restrict or take down a page, or suspend or close an account if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law, or to protect people or the Service. Where it is appropriate and safe, we will tell you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, email abuse@bounley.com from the address on your account and a person will look at it again.
We don’t review everything posted on Bounley, and we aren’t obliged to.
9. Copyright
We respond to copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. How to send one, and how to respond to one, is in our Copyright policy. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
10. Paid features
Bounley is free right now. If we add paid features, we will show you the price and the terms before you pay, and you will never be charged for something you didn’t choose.
Premium and the verified check
Some features, such as email at your own domain and the verified check, are part of Premium, which is currently available by invitation (a beta key). The verified check means the page belongs to a Premium account. It isn’t a statement by us about anyone’s identity, and visitors who tap it are told so. We may remove the check, or Premium, from an account that breaks these Terms — for example by impersonating someone — or uses the check to mislead people. Email at your own domain is for your own correspondence: don’t use it for bulk or marketing mail, spam or phishing, and follow anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM. We may pause it for an account whose mail bounces or draws complaints. Premium features in beta may change or end; if one you use is ending, we will tell you first where we can.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
12. Changes to the Service
We are always working on Bounley, so features will be added, changed and sometimes removed. Anything we label as new, beta or experimental may not work perfectly.
13. Changes to these Terms
When we change these Terms we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change matters, we will tell you before it applies and ask you to agree again before you can keep editing your page. Changes to section 18 won’t apply to a dispute you had already told us about.
14. Ending your account
You can delete your account whenever you like from your dashboard: Link & privacy → Delete my account. We may suspend or close accounts as described in section 8. Sections 4 (only as it says about backups and shared copies), 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 still apply after your account ends.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service is merchantable, fit for a particular purpose or non-infringing. We don’t promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of errors, that link previews and embeds will always work, or that any name will stay available. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Bounley and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
17. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your use of the Service, or your breaking these Terms, the law or someone else’s rights, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from it, including reasonable lawyers’ fees, to the extent the law allows.
18. Resolving disputes: arbitration and class-action waiver
This section applies if you live in the United States. If you live elsewhere, it applies only as far as your local law allows.
Talk to us first
Before starting any formal claim, email legal@bounley.com describing the problem and what you want. Both of us agree to try in good faith to resolve it for 60 days.
Arbitration
If we can’t resolve it, you and Bounley agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be settled by binding individual arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration can take place by video or phone, or in the county where you live. The arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could.
What isn’t arbitrated
Either of us can bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us can ask a court to stop someone infringing or misusing intellectual property.
No class actions or jury trials
Disputes are brought only on an individual basis — not as a class, collective or representative action — and you and Bounley each give up the right to a jury trial. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim goes to court rather than to arbitration, and everything else in this section still applies.
Opting out
You can opt out of this section by emailing legal@bounley.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. Include your name, the email on your account, your page name, and a sentence saying you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out doesn’t change anything else in these Terms.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in the United States where Bounley’s operator is established and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim that is not arbitrated will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in that state, and both of us agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place whose law gives you rights these Terms can’t take away, you keep those rights, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
20. General
These Terms, together with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later. You can’t transfer these Terms to anyone else; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control. We may send you notices by email or through the Service; you can send notices to us at legal@bounley.com.
